Developmental psychology

In 2022-2023, I taught a development psychology class in third year psychology bachelor. It was a course on developmental psychopathology divided in four sessions for each of the eight groups.

The first session was about neuroconstructivsm and the definition of developmental psychopathology. We then discussed about what is a developmental psychologist, its role, and shared generalities about how to work with disabled children or children from atypical environments.

The second session was about neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD, ID, behavioral disorders...) and other disorders (anxiety, Eating Disorders, Sensory disorders,...), their etiology, symptoms and developmental trajectories. There was many videos to illustrate them and study cases.

The third session was about the environment of disabled children and what to be aware of as a psychologist : bullying, child abuse, affective and sexual activity, and high potential.

The last session was study cases in which students had to use the previous sessions to explain the developmental trajectories of each case.

In 2021-2022, I taught the same class but with a different organization.

The first session was about neuroconstructivsm and the definition of developmental psychopathology. The aim was to read an article to understand the foundations developmental psychopathology.

The second session was about neurodevelopmental disorders, their etiology, symptoms and developmental trajectories. There was many videos to illustrate them and study cases.

The third session was about early neonatal influences such as alcool, nicotin or prematurity on the development of the babies.

The last session was study cases in which students had to use the previous sessions to explain the developmental trajectories of each case.

StatJam, Journal Club

In COMETE Laboratory, there was a weekly statistics/journal review session in which I particpated a few times.

For the Journal club, I made two presentations. The first one was about bibliographical tools usefull to make the journey of writing an article easier. The second one was about how to choose a title and an abstract that would get more views and citations. For the StatJam, I made a presentation on the mediation and the moderation effects.
